Installation “PLACE 57/24”
"PLACE 57/24" is a story where the universe is concentrated in one private housing area to gradually guide the viewer through the film shots, made in the form of paintings. The site "PLACE 57/24" has been selected regarding the individual author's subjective selection principle. The entire installation concept is based on indirect author's personal literary story that helps the viewer to get the sense of the importance of the selected place. However, the chosen place is being also dissected as a mathematically legitimate geographical location by determining its precise coordinates on the globe, as well as grouping its existing value, creating a rough „site profile” as a symbolic reference to the selectiveness of a memory. The sound of „PLACE 57/24” and its historical photo projection, as well as objects as interpretations of existing materials of „PLACE 57/24” are used to bring a small part of its physicality in the exhibition space.
„VIETA 57/24” ir stāsts, kurā visums tēlaini koncentrēts vienā privātmājas teritorijā, skatītājam kā kino pakāpeniski atklājot arvien jaunus kadrus gleznu formā, instalācijā apskatīto vietu „VIETA 57/24” izvēloties pēc individuāla, autora subjektīva atlases principa. Visu instalācijas konceptu caurvij personisks literārs netiešs autora stāsts, kas skatītājam abstraktā veidā liek sajust vietas nozīmību. Tomēr izvēlētā vieta tiek apskatīta arī kā matemātiski ģeogrāfiska lokācija, nosakot precīzas tās koordinātas uz zemeslodes, kā arī konkrētajā lokācijā pastāvošos lielumus racionāli grupējot, veidojot nosacītu „vietas profilu”, tādējādi simboliski norādot uz atmiņu selektīvo dabu. Izmantota tiek arī vietas skaņa un vēsturiska vietas foto uzņēmuma projekcija, kā arī tajā pastāvošo objektu interpretācija materiālā, tādējādi izstādes telpā pārnesot nelielu daļu vietas fizikālās dabas.
